Constellation – Not a Good Model for Wine Industry
I wanted to take a moment and discuss my dissatisfaction with large wine companies. It is interesting to me how customers follow brands of wine without understanding what is in the bottle, how much is produced and where it comes from.
Constellation will take a wine and buy the brand, eventually move the production to one of their wineries and work to double the production. I realize this is business 101 in getting a return on investment but speaks to the uneducated consumer.
Different fruit, mass produced and marketed on the back of someone else’s success. Not what I want to drink. Good luck America consuming the additional sweetness! We have a lot to learn.
